Line Cook (Event Chef)

The Line Cook is responsible for safely preparing ingredients required for food service from a sanitary environment. The Line Cooks are responsible for service at OFF site events.

Job Duties

  • Prepares all required food items as outlined by the daily/ weekly prep list in a timely manner while maintaining food quality standards and adhering to all food and safety regulations

  • Organizes and executes daily drop offs as required

  • Works OFF site events as scheduled with high level of understanding and execution aligned with company standards as outlined by Chef de Partie

  • Assists lead event chefs with equipment and food pack outs when needed for all OFF site events

  • Supports all other departments when needed

  • Adheres to the rules and regulations regarding food preparation as set out by management

  • May be responsible for receiving goods as they arrive, confirming the orders are correct, signing off on their delivery, unloading them and distributing them to the appropriate locations

  • Complies with sanitation regulations and safety standards

  • Maintains a positive and professional and pleasant demeanor with colleagues and clients

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of related kitchen experience

  • Strong knife skills and use of kitchen equipment and utensils

  • Attention to detail

  • Food Handling and Health & Safety training an asset

  • Flexible schedule to work nights, weekends and holidays

  • A valid Driver’s License is an asset
