Prep Cook (Events Optional)

The Prep Cook is responsible to assist the Chef de Partie in preparing the food and maintaining the cooking environment to ensure its clean and safe for all staff members.

Currently hiring Prep Cooks for Pastry, Butchery, Bakery and Garde Manger Departments 

Job Duties

  • Prepares all required food items as outlined by the daily/ weekly prep list in a timely manner while maintaining food quality standards and adhering to all food and safety regulations

  • Maintains all inventory levels of food items on a weekly basis as outlined by Chef de Partie

  • Organizes and executes daily drop offs as required

  • Completes all daily/ weekly “bulk prep” projects as outlined by Chef de Partie

  • Adheres to the rules and regulations regarding food preparation as set out by management

  • Complies with sanitation regulations and safety standards

  • Supports all other departments when needed

  • Maintains a positive, professional and pleasant demeanor with colleagues and clients

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of related kitchen experience

  • Ability to read and adhere to recipes

  • Basic knife skills

  • Ability to work clean and fast

  • Flexible schedule to work nights, weekends and holidays

Compensation

Above industry standards, based on experience & may include a benefits package.
